The Rough Coastline of Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land in Maine

This rough and natural area of Maine is called the Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land and offers spectacular views of the northern Maine coastline. This image was taken along the Coastal Trail on the northern end of the property. We were too early for many of the wildflowers that were just starting to pop up out of the soil, and just in time for the start of the black flies (I think there are still a few trapped in my vehicle). It was about a 1.5 mile hike to reach the coast from the parking area – worth every stumble! The path has a lot of twists and turns, swampy areas, foot bridges, and rock skipping. Image details: Taken on May 10, 2016 with a Canon 6D, Canon EF17-40mm f/4L USM lens, ISO 800, 1/60, f/18, and 17mm – tripod mounted.
